50 Best Signature Sessions: Las Vegas

The 50 Best Signature Sessions in Las Vegas showcased exceptional culinary talent from around the globe, bringing together renowned chefs for unique collaborative dining experiences. These sessions, part of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants awards programme, were hosted at various prestigious venues across the city, including Wynn Las Vegas and The Venetian. Highlights included a lunch at Esther’s Kitchen featuring London’s Tomos Parry and US chef James Trees, and a dinner at Casa Playa with celebrated Mexican chefs Elena Reygadas and Sarah Thompson. Another standout event was held at Mizumi, where chefs Thitid Tassanakajohn and Pichaya Soontornyanakij from Bangkok teamed up with executive chef Jeff Ramsey to create a six-course omakase menu. These sessions not only showcased the chefs’ culinary prowess but also highlighted the diverse and innovative flavours from their respective regions.

In the 2024 edition of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, Asia saw a strong representation with 11 restaurants making it into the top 50 and a total of 24 restaurants in the top 100. Gaggan in Bangkok emerged as the highest-ranked restaurant from Asia at No. 9, showcasing the continued global appeal of innovative Thai cuisine. Other notable entries include Odette in Singapore, which also ranked high in the list, reaffirming its position as a leading culinary destination in Asia. The region’s diverse culinary landscape was well-represented with restaurants from cities such as Tokyo, Bangkok, and Singapore featuring prominently in the rankings.
