The restaurant takes its name from the literal translation of Peach Court, and serves some of the best Chinese cuisines, lending dishes from southern China, with a predominant Cantonese, Hokkien and Teochew influence, along with a creative flair that is both traditional and modern. The restaurant comes with an open dining area as well as private rooms for personal functions. The restaurant is headed by Executive Chef Rick Teoh who year after year tries to beat his own creations and this year is no different. When asked what influenced his Chinese New Year Menu 2019, he stated: –
“We wanted to prepare something a little healthier as people want to eat dishes that are better for the body. This year, the rice dish is made using 5 grain rice, as people are becoming more health conscious. We also kept this in mind when making our desserts, using a crystal jelly pomegranate which has many benefits for your health.” — Rick Teoh, Executive Chef of Toh Yuen, Hilton Petaling Jaya.

- Abundance & Prosperity 海式榮華配套at RM 2,888.00 nett
The first dish, a yee sang, was the Prosperity “Yee Sang” with Crispy Salmon Skin and Salmon Fish This traditional Malaysian Chinese dish was decorated with an assortment of fresh and pickled vegetables served with crackers, raw salmon and deep fried crispy salmon skin. The crispy salmon skin added a nice crunch to the dish, making it stand out from the usual fare.
The second dish, a soup, was the Double Boiled Wolfberry with Chicken Minced Meat and Dried Scallop Soup The soup was reminiscent of Chinese style steam minced pork, but had the smooth consistency of steamed egg. The flavours were very earthy and bold, with the scallop adding a nice briny depth to the dish.
The third dish, a vegetable dish, was the Braised Sangkan Oysters balls, slice shell abalone, Hericium Mushroom, Sea Moss and Seasonal Vegetables The dish consisted of braised dried oyster and sangkan (kalanchoe root) meat balls, with sliced abalone and monkey head mushrooms, served with broccoli and sea moss. The dish was full of flavour and is a must have at a Chinese new year dinner.
The fourth dish, a fish dish, was the Steamed New Zealand Orange Roughy Fish with Yellow Bean Sauce This deep sea fish was served with a thick and umami rich yellow bean sauce, but what really sang was the freshness of the fish examplified in the springiness of the flesh.
The fifth dish, a fowl dish, was the Braised Oriental Style Duck served with Steamed Flower Buns The duck was was cooked well, with skin still crispy and flavourful from the deep-frying, and blended perfectly with an oriental master stock base. The meat were then served cushioned within the ultra soft and pillow-like steamed flower buns.
The sixth dish, a prawn dish, was the Deep Fried Tiger Prawn Fruits with Red Dragon Fruits Mayonnaise Sauce This interesting dish was served with extra springy prawns coated in a light batter, slathered with a generous helping of red dragon fruit mayonnaise, and was complemented with warm nata de coco. This dish was very unique and had a nice play of texture and temperatures as well as the briny sweetness of the prawns and sugary sweetness of the nata de coco. This dish should be eaten as quick as possible as once it gets cold, can be a little rich on the palate.
The seventh dish, a rice dish, was the Braised Seafood and Five Grain Rice “Hock Chew” Style This unique rice dish came with a mix of 5 grain rice, which consisted of white rice, brown rice, barley, millet, pumpkin seeds. This healthy dish was then coated in a nice seafood and yam mixture giving the dish a nice play on textures and almost porridge-like consistency, which on a rainy day would be perfect served on its own.
The eighth dish, a duo of desserts, were the Crystal Jelly Red Pomegranate with Crispy “Nian Gao” [锦绣前程步步升] 红石榴菓冻拼年糕. The dessert consisted of red pomegranate jelly which was slightly flavoured with flowers, and delectable glutinous rice cakes enveloping sweet potato in a crispy batter. The best component about the glutinous rice cakes were that they were portioned perfectly as bite sized morsels.
The ninth dish, a dessert soup, was the Hot Ginseng Red Date and Chrysanthemum with Wolfberry Tea The dessert take of a traditional herbal tea, Chrysanthemum and ginseng, and was made into a dessert soup with wolfberry and red dates, a perfect and sweet ending to a hearty meal.
