TIGER BEER ONGSOME • Tiger beer has released the TIGER BEER ONGSOME • Tiger beer has released their #BringTheONG Chinese New Year campaign with a spectacular augmented reality campaign including  their festive cans which can be scanned for a lucky draw spin up to RM1,000,000. The box also comes with 4 tiger beer cans, 2 Tiger Crystal and 8 packets of snacks including bakkwa, pineapple tarts, peanuts and pistachios, all auspiciously labelled labeled, as well as the 4 Tiger Beer cans with labels Wang 旺 Shi 事 Ru 如 Yi 意 which are scannable for an AR lucky draw spin.

Consumers too will be able to get hold of these limited edition cans when they purchase one carton of Tiger Beer and one carton of Tiger Crystal at participating off-trade outlets. There are two sets to collect, with two designs in each set. The limited edition cans are available from 16th January until 10th February 2021 at participating outlets across Malaysia, while stocks last.

From now until 28th February 2021, consumers who purchase big bottles of Tiger Beer, Tiger Crystal, Heineken® or Guinness at participating restaurants, food courts or coffee shops, can check underneath their bottle caps for the ‘ONG’ characters representing different prizes to be won including ‘ONGsome’ cash Ang Pows and Tiger Ong Lai Bowl Sets!

GLENFIDDICH CELEBRATES THE LUNAR NEW YEAR WITH ACC GLENFIDDICH CELEBRATES THE LUNAR NEW YEAR WITH ACCLAIMED CHINESE ARTIST RLON WANG • This Chinese New Year Glenfiddich has collaborated with renown Chinese artist RIon Wang where a personalised message can be sent to a loved one, where once activated, brings an augmented reality dancing of sorts with the artist’s creations.

The second in a series of three Chinese New Year special edition packs, the 2021 bottle tells a magical story of ‘The Great Homecoming’, inspired by the inimitable feeling of returning home to family for Chinese New Year. The story follows on from 2020’s much-loved edition, where artist Wang first reimagined the royal stag icon and the century-old epic journey of Charles Gordon (son-in-law of Glenfiddich founder William Grant) where he embarked for Asia with a few cases of whisky and a dream to bring the Speyside Scotch whisky to the world. The 2021 special edition bottle honours his triumphant return home to Scotland a year later, having won the hearts of whisky lovers across Asia.

WHOLLY SPIRITS RELEASES THAT BOUTIQUE-Y WHISKEY CO WHOLLY SPIRITS RELEASES THAT BOUTIQUE-Y WHISKEY COMPANY COLLABORATION: THE MALAYSIAN SKYLINE SERIES • Wholly Spirits has recently collaborated with That Boutique-y Whisky Company to release The Malaysia Skyline Series of specially selected single cask whiskies in conjunction with the Wholly Spirits’ 5th anniversary which consists of a 19 Year Old single malt Scotch from Springbank Distillery that has been fully matured in a sherry butt, and bottled at 50.2% ABV. This whisky was personally selected by our founders, Shawn Samuel and J.B. Ooi and retails at RM2,368 per 500ml bottle, very limited quantities of this whisky have been released, with only 231 full bottles available.

SCENTSATIONAL LILIN + CO. COCKTAILS BY SHAWN CHONG SCENTSATIONAL LILIN + CO. COCKTAILS BY SHAWN CHONG AT SEVEN, THE RUMA HOTEL • The Seven Bar at the RuMa hotel has partnered up with purveyors of artisanal candles Lilin + Co and renown bartender Shawn Chong to bring you a Christmas collaboration that we didn’t know we needed. The menu consists of 4 cocktails which were all matched to the scent of 4 candles. Each cocktail also comes with a canapé created by chef Tyson Gee of Atas Malaysian Modern Eatery.

STRAWBERRY + BUBBLY
Strawberry syrup, peach syrup, orange juice and soda
The drink resembles a Bellini, which was sweet and effervescent, with the perfume of star berry and peach. Perfect for teetotallers.

ORANGE + MARTINI
Vodka, Cointreau and Campari
One of the more spirit forward cocktail on the menu, the deep flavours and very boozy disposition makes a nice sipper. Definitely not for the faint hearted, this drink is quite strong.

APPLE + CINNAMON
Whiskey, passionfruit syrup, apple cinnamon jam
The most beautiful of the set, this cocktail remind you of mulled cider in many ways, but much lighter. The cocktail itself is set in a Lilin + Co candle glass and a cinnamon stick is lit to emulate a flame flicker with its cracking. Very cute.

LYCHEE & CYPRESS
VSOP, lychee liquor, oolong tea
This cocktail is great for those looking for that balance of sweet and woody, with the Japanese cypress hinoki adding a level of the onsen’s woodiness, very much in the style of Shawn Chong.
